Red-tailed Hawk Cam – Tulsa, OK

Kay and Jay are the proud parents. The first egg hatched on March 31, and number two began cracking open on April 2nd.

Sometimes that camera gets used for news or weather purposes, and the encoder also gets used on occasion so you may see some video of things other than hawks :). Most of the time, however, you'll be able to follow along as Kay and Jay guard their eggs -- and hopefully, raise their babies!

I just wish they'd turn the lights off at night.

Didn't realize that, do you think that will have a weird effect on them?

They have turned the camera away from the redtails and toward the view. Screenshot is around 11:45 PM.

It is always windy at that nest and Mom's feathers are blowing around. I wonder whether there will be less wind in the summer.

Mom landed on the rail and almost fell off! Still very windy. Does the wind ever let up in Tulsa? Wow! We posted at almost the same time! :P

the kids are still blocked by the bars...especially during this last and very long meal...but take a look at the crop in the pic where you can actually see one...the two were fed until they had to reject the food from the adult.

 video: Speedy Mouse Dinner for Hawklets

Hey! It's not fair to eat everything while your sibling isn't fully awake.

(I wonder whether sleepyhead is still full from that last feeding in Soph's pictures, above.)

Music is Chuck Mangione's "Sicilian Tarentella"

PS: the video is double-speed :P

I am still concerned over the littlest one not getting much food. I know the Mom feeds both when she can, but the biggest one has been mean since day one.
Seems the little one is less and less active each day. Sure would like for the little guy to start catching up with the other.
