Yeah, it feels forever waiting for the cam to come on. I did the same when they took Easter away from their parents. I felt so withdrawal and :eccry

but I did survive. Now I am watching the Norfolk cam and hope for the best this year.

I am on page 201 now and still long way to go....... :faint

I really can't believe how much I miss the BB (and his Mom, Dad and Sis, too, of course). And am STILL hoping and have everything crossed that the cam will be back up VERY soon.

Hi panda fans, we just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your support. Not only do we get emails from all over the States, but we also get messages from all over the world - Japan, Germany, England, the list goes on! Here are a few snippets of some funny, even heartwarming notes of support we’ve garnered from y’all.

I thank you, all the way from near Chicago, Illinois for the wonderful love and care you are providing to our beloved pandas. Rest assured, we will be watching and praying for your continued success in helping Lun Lun raise a wonderful little cubbie for us all to enjoy.

Can't possibly imagine a world without pandas in it. Thank you, thank you for all you do to keep them a treasured part of our lives!

I visited Lun and Yang when they first moved to the Zoo. I have pictures of them when they were still together in the same habitat. Since then, I have visited them several times. I have also been able to visit and see Mei Lan several times. She is such a sweetie. When Mei Lan was born, I was just thrilled. I have watched her grow from that little stick of butter stage to the cutie she is now. I just love pandas. It is so special for myself and my family to get to visit the pandas at Zoo Atlanta. Thank you for all you do for them.

They just separated Tian and Mei. Phew, they must be tired! I guess the staff will do an AI later today.

They have to be exhausted! At one point, they were so aggressive, to the point of a fight, so I'm really glad they separated them. Thanks for the update!

He actually got so agressive that someone had to get in and separate them? :eceek

It sure takes a long time for panda's to mate. No slam, bam thank you mam for them huh? :rotf

The Zoo will take ultrasounds but it's very hard to see on an ultrasound if she's pregnant. Last year she went through a pseudo-pregnancy. We will know within 95 to 180 days when Mei might give birth if she is pregnant.

Edited to add: I guess the Zoo will also do AI on Mei today or tomorrow. They always do AI as well as natural mating mostly isn't very successful (well you've seen that on cam to today..... :mhihi

You KNOW I could never just leave our family here. :nono

I've become too attached to them. What I meant was if they don't give us the cam, we can watch the other panda's, but still be here for the updates and things the zoo will throw at us once in awhile. :twisted:

I enjoy seeing the live video's, that's why I said go over to the other place. Should have explained myself better. :sorry

Do you really think Atlanta wants us to leave? I don't feel that way cuz then the word would spread and I'm sure their donations (to the zoo, not the cam) would drop dramatically. I don't think it really dawned on them just how many people around the world were watching the cam and how important it was. People watch the cam then people want to travel to Atlanta to see the zoo in person. Makes sense to me. :nod

They just really messed up this time and waited too long before trying to keep the cam up and running. Hopefully they've learned :!:

And hopefully after the gazillion phone calls they've received, they'll get a new PR person who will keep in touch with the public. :twisted:

I love this blingee graphics and was playing around and
came up with this. Its a joke, have a good laugh from me!
I love to see how silly even at my age, 61, I can be!
This year I finally can say I NOW CAN WALK !! I took my first walk alone
this week and even walked my dog, Bucky!! Last Sunday he begged
for his picture taken for I went to church for the 1st time since Last May!
He's sticking out his tongue! He is such a funny dog

I have alot of blessings to count!
Without any assistance!! Been since May 2008 my broken leg
with surgery I have been in alot of pain but XILAN gave me
great joy and comfort and sadly it doesnt look I can see him today
but enjoy your Awesome Panda Graphics instead.
