Wow parent seems different. Moving around ALOT and does not seem to be settling as deep onto the egg. Just seems agitated maybe?? Or like something may happen.?? Also puts a little more nest material closer to them every time they move.

Anyone else think the brooding eagle is acting different??

7:55: thought i heard a goose honking by, but a large bird flew right to left below the nest. It was light on top. Parent jumped up. Fly-by may have been by the other parent, but it kept going Our nester made a few comments and settled back in, facing one o'clock on WA.

7:54am Brooding eagle got up thinking there was going to be a switch, but the other just flew back behind the nest and kept going. The egg was rolled again. I think today is the day.

8:02 am Brooding eagle gets up, fusses with the nest bowl and settles down again.

8:05 am Up again, and turns now facing 12 o'clock. Very restless today.

Mom returns and there was a switch. Dad was hesitant to get up, but finally did. Mom settled down facing 10 o'clock and is fussing with the nesting materials pulling them around and to her.

8:11am PDT.....camera is buffering...A LOT!!!!! However I think a switch just took place.....one parent off and the other has settled without too much rearranging of nesting material.

8:36 Mom got up, did a funny side by side waddle-in-place over the egg. Then she checked it but did not roll it and settled lightly back down facing 10 o'clock position. I was lucky to see it as it's my first glimpse since early a.m.

8:43am PDT.....Quiet sounds from parent on nest as the other arrives from side....buffering....I think the parent on nest has left the building and the other settles down....oh....now I can see that it is Mom who has returned and I'm sure it is her who has settled back down. Other parent flies off from the front side.

Yes, mum did get up for a short time and resume the position again. Looks like they were both "shoring up the playpen" Hopefully we'll have a little one (or 2) today.

8:42am, dad arrived on nest, talking back and forth to one another, mom didn't want to get up

8:44 am, both parents still on nest, mom got up and moved to front of nest, picking at a stick or eating something. Then she got down into the nest again.

8:47 am, dad flew off front of WA

lots of buffering, hard to tell who is doing what

Dad brought food, ate some and now Mom is eating some. Dad just settled down on the nest bowl. Eagles usually start bringing in food and storing it when the hatch is eminent.

8:55 Dad is trying to do some serious nestorations and there is a big stick that is not cooperating. Haven't seen them both on the nest together like this since before the eggs were laid.
8:57 Mom is off the nest bowl and Dad has his head in the nest. Now he settles down gingerly. Mom is still hanging around. Looked like she had a fish in her mouth. She's eating now.

8:42-8:56 am. Just wanted to add..when dad originally came in he brought what looked like a fish. Mom when over to it and began to pull at it but decided no and went back to the egg/s and began nesting. Dad hung around for a while and took off. Then a few minutes later dad came back and started doing some serious renovations at which time mom finally got up and started eating the fish that dad had brought in at the first stop. Dad is now nesting facing the 12 o'clock position while mom continues to eat.

Now dad just got up and went to his branch and mom went over to the egg/s and is now nesting facing the 9 oclock position on the W cam and dad is gone.

8:59 Tuned it to Dad sitting on the eggs, and Mom sitting beside Dad, on the right of the WA cam. Mom is eating or rearranging sticks, constant buffering does not allowe me to deterime which. But definitely Dad in the nest bowl, looking at Mom.
