This is one of those really bizzare cap's. Earlier today fuzzlet had something stuck in the beak that was longer than the beak horizontally. Was wide mouthed shaking Her/his head back and forth trying to dislodge it! Look close - you can see it is an unnaturally open beak.

5:42 to 5:46 Eagle Time:

Extremely loud and low screaming military
jets right over the nest. Parent feeding the
nestling doesn't miss a beat and ignores the
ear piercing jets. Nestling is very vocal right
now during feeding. Haven't heard this much
sustained vocalizing until today. One of the
notes sounded very close to the trailing
trill of an adult.

Even over the jet sounds you
could still hear Fuzzy cheeping.

Awesome pics and clips folks. I have been gone since 5 pm. I have yet to see 'Fuzzlet', 'Fuzzy', 'Peeper' etc. up and walking in the nest. From some of the pics I too think we have a female!

Great captures and videos today, everyone. I loved watching Dad's wingspan as he flew in. I don't think we'll be able to call our precious eaglet "Fuzzy" or "Bobblehead" much longer.

Skipper, SG, Sierra: Thanks for the video of "Fuzzy's feast at 5:30p.m." The parents' in sync arrival is just awesome. Although it's the same event, but I watched all three videos. Just can't get enough of it.

Wendy and ELFNYC: your captions are so creative. Job well done. I know I will be treated to a heart-warming laugh when I saw your screenshots, even before I read the caption.

I can't help but noticed that Fuzzy was peeping all that time that he was being fed. Remind me of.....who else.....her big brother. Also, Fuzzy has such a different personality. Who could forget the commotion that Big and Lil made when food arrived. A couple of times parents almost got pushed out of the nest (remember Dad's talons got bitten?). But our Fuzzy......so calm, quiet, just waiting for bed service.
